Who We Are

Birth Resource Network is a non-profit association of independently practicing doulas serving all of San Diego county. Our group includes nearly two dozen doulas from various backgrounds including nurses, childbirth educators and lactation consultants working together to educate the community concerning the benefits of having a doula attend a woman in labor.

Our Mission Statement

We are a network of independent professional doulas dedicated to assisting in creating healthy childbirth and a positive childbirth experience for mothers, babies and families by:
~Making our services accessible and affordable for every woman who wants a doula...
~Educating parents, the community and healthcare professionals about options in pregnancy and childbirth and about the benefits of doula-assisted birth and postnatal care...
~Providing on-going training to our membership for the improvement of our skills and expertise.
